The Sains, who beat the Rams in the first round of the NFL playoffs, travel to Minnesota to face the Vikings on Saturday.
Williams, who practiced last week on a limited basis for the first time since suffering a broken fibula on Nov. 12, was to practice Tuesday only if he could show in a morning
workout that he could do more than just run with the scout team, as he did
late last week. He is listed as doubtful for Saturday's game.
Smith has missed the past three games because of two bulging discs in
his lower back.
