After graduating three starters from last season's NCAA runner-up, most naysayers overlooked the Blue Devils from day one. Dropped off The Associated Press Top 25 a week into the season after a seven-point loss to Boston College, Duke rebounded to win 15 consecutive games and broke into the top 10. But then, in late January, senior Peppi Browne went down with a torn ACL, and critics immediately said Duke was out of the race. Of course, Duke proved them wrong again by winning its first-ever ACC tournament title. The point? Don't overlook the Blue Devils or coach Gail Goestenkors, who has continued to prove she's one of the best coaches in the game. Junior Georgia Schweitzer (15.5 ppg) is one of the best on the court, and is probably eager to put that zero-point performance in last year's national championship game behind her.
