BOX SCORE CHICAGO (Ticker) -- No. 16 Florida matched the best start in school history as Tamara Stocks scored 19 points and Naomi Mobley added 18 and 16 rebounds in a 79-30 pounding of Chicago State. Stocks made 6-of-9 shots and 7-of-8 free throws as Florida (9-0) opened a season with nine consecutive victories for the third time ever and first since 1995. The Lady Gators shot just 39 percent (26-of-65) in the first half, but held a 35-12 lead as Chicago State made just 5-of-24 shots. Mobley was the only other lady Gator to shoot 50 percent, hitting 5-of-10 shots. Brandi McCain scored 12 points and reserve Vanessa Hayden pulled down 12 rebounds as Florida held a huge 61-26 advantage on the boards. Krisey Sanders had five points and five rebounds off the bench for Chicago State (1-9), which shot 24 percent (12-of-50) and turned the ball over 34 times. The Cougars have lost seven straight games since a 52-49 win over Illinois Chicago on November 21. They went 0-27 last season and were playing Florida for the first time.
