STATE COLLEGE, Pennsylvania (Ticker) -- Maren Walseth scored 20 points and Kelly Mazzante added 16 to power ninth-ranked Penn State to an 81-68 victory over Santa Barbara.

Walseth made 5-of-7 shots from the floor and 10-of-11 free throws as Penn State (7-3) won its fourth straight game since a 92-79 loss at Florida. The Lady Lions face La Salle Thursday before beginning Big Ten Conference play against Minnesota on December 28.

Rashana Barnes recorded 12 points and eight rebounds for Penn State, which shot 45 percent (13-of-29) in the first half and built a 40-32 lead.

Kayte Christensen had 14 points and eight rebounds and Jessica Combs scored 10 points off the bench for Santa Barbara (4-4). The Gauchos shot just 35 percent (25-of-71) and had a three-game winning streak snapped.
