LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- Taru Tuukkanen scored 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds and Jennifer Phillips added 17 points, leading No. 24 Xavier to an 84-68 victory over Loyola Marymount in the final of the LMU Furama Hotel Thanksgiving Classic.

Sophomore guard Reetta Piipari, a former member of the Finnish National Team, added 16 points, eight assists and two steals for the Musketeers (3-0).

Bryn Britton and sophomore Kate Murray scored 23 points apiece for the Lions (2-1). Murray also grabbed 11 rebounds.

Taryn Reynolds contributed 10 points, six assists and four steals in the losing effort.

Tuukkanen made 8-of-15 shots and Piipari connected on 6-of-12 as the Musketeers shot 53 percent (32-60) from the field, including 9-of-13 from the 3-point range.

Piipari hit 4-of-5 from beyond the arc and Nicole Levandusky, who finished with 14 points, connected on 4-of-6.
