FULLERTON, Calif. (AP) -- UCLA had a tough time getting going to the game, then took a while to get going on the court. Once the Bruins (No. 8 ESPN/USA Today, No. 6 Associated Press) did find the right gear, it turned into a 108-75 victory over winless Cal State Fullerton on Friday night. "We had a slow start off campus as five of our players had finals which lasted until 2:30 p.m. and didn't really pick up the tempo until the second half," UCLA coach Kathy Olivier said. Maylana Martin scored 22 points to lead six UCLA players in double figures. Guard Michelle Greco had 18 points and eight rebounds for the Bruins (5-2). UCLA welcomed back senior point guard Erica Gomez, who had been sidelined this season after shoulder surgery. Gomez played 16 minutes, scoring 10 points and handing out eight assists. "She brings a lot to our team with her play and makes us all better," Martin said. Kristina Naumovic led Cal State Fullerton (0-7) with 17 points, while Kandace Hunter had 15 and Megan Baskins 14. The Titans trailed by only nine points at halftime before a home crowd of 518. UCLA, however, had a 22-point lead with 11 minutes left in the game and increased the spread to 25 points after a steal and assist by Gomez. | ALSO SEE Womens College Basketball Scoreboard
