CHAPEL HILL, North Carolina (Ticker) -- LaQuanda Barksdale scored 29 points and grabbed 19 rebounds as 14th-ranked North Carolina coasted to a 77-58 victory over Radford. Jennifer Thomas added 15 points and Jasmyn Huntington 11 for North Carolina (7-2), which won its third straight game while improving to 5-0 at home this season. Barksdale scored 23 points in the first half, helping the Tar Heels open a 39-26 advantage at halftime. They took total control of the contest with a 13-2 run over the first five minutes of the second half. Barksdale connected on 10-of-20 shots for the Tar Heels, who shot 41 percent (26-of-62) and held a 50-37 rebounding advantage. Kelli Tull scored 15 points and Catrice Horton and Crystal Hubbard collected 10 apiece for Radford (1-6), which suffered its third straight loss. Radford shot just 34 percent (19-of-56).
