LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (AP) -- It doesn't matter to coach Leon
Barmore that no one knows about his talented guard Betty Lennox.

Lennox scored 31 points and backcourt mate Tamicha Jackson added
20 as No. 4 Louisiana Tech defeated No. 5 UCLA 82-64 in Sunday's
second game of the Honda Elite 4 Holiday Classic.
"Every time I read something about guards, her name is never
mentioned," Barmore said. "Well, I'll tell you what, it's going
to start to get mentioned, because I think people are realizing how
great a basketball player Betty Lennox is.
"The thing is, she plays both ends of the floor. She's become a
complete player."
Lennox made five 3-pointers and led the team with eight
rebounds, seven assists and four steals.
"I like to win games," Lennox said. "I had a bad game last
time out, so I was looking to come back strong."
UCLA held a 47-42 rebounding edge and was led by Maylana Martin
with 17 points and eight rebounds. Michelle Greco added 14. No
other player scored in double figures as the Bruins struggled, hitting just 37.5 percent of their shots.
"Louisiana Tech showed their quickness today," UCLA coach
Kathy Olivier said. "We knew they were quick but I didn't think
their quickness would bother us as much as it did.
"It bothered us in a big way. Both
Lennox and Jackson are quick. A lot of how they get points is off
their defense and they did that early."
After the game was tied 6-6, Tech went on a 42-11 run, keeping
UCLA from ever mounting a serious threat. Louisiana Tech led 51-23
at the half as UCLA shot 26.7 percent from the field.
