STATESBORO, Ga. (AP) -- Georgia knew what it had to do in the second half: stop Georgia Southern's Tondra Warren.

The second-ranked Lady Bulldogs held Warren scoreless in the second half and Coco Miller scored 16 points as Georgia beat Georgia Southern 102-70 Tuesday night.

Warren scored 19 points in the first half for the Lady Eagles (1-2), who led 39-36 at halftime.

In the second half, Georgia (7-0) went to a 2-3 zone and Warren was held scoreless.

"They were doubling down on both posts big time in the second half. They were pressuring the guards and keeping me from getting open," she said.

Georgia gradually pulled away, taking a 73-52 lead on a 3-pointer by Kelly Miller with 10:30 to play.

"In the second half, we played tougher defense and were more patient on offense," said Kelly Miller, who finished with 14 points. "We played an aggressive zone and were able to get easy baskets. It worked well for us."

Tawana McDonald scored 15 points and Shala Crawford added 12 for the Lady Bulldogs.

"We just wore out in the second half," said Southern coach Rusty Cram.
