SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (AP) -- Erin Buescher scored a season-high 34 points and had 14 rebounds as UC Santa Barbara (No. 13 ESPN/USA Today, No. 11 AP) won its 18th consecutive game, 79-62 over Pacific on Friday night. Kristi Rohr opened a UCSB (22-3, 10-0 Big West) 11-4 run in the first three minutes with a driving layup. Rohr finished with six points. Pacific (13-8, 4-6) outscored UCSB 13-6 in the next five minutes to tie it 17-17 after a pair of free throws by Eden Palacio with 11:51 remaining in the first half. The first half saw eight ties and seven lead changes. Selena Ho's 3-pointer gave Pacific a 43-40 advantage at the half. Pacific took a seven-point lead with 13:27 left in the game, their largest lead, after a jumper by Martha Yarbrough who finished with 10 points. UCSB went on a 7-0 run to tie it 54-54, but Pacific bounced back to take their final lead 56-54. A layup by Buescher tied the game 56-56 with 9:55 to go. Along with Buescher's 34 points on 13-of-16 shooting, Rachelle Rogers added 13 points and Stacey Clinesmith had 11 points and five assists. Ho led Pacific with 15 points while Chante Guggia added 14 points. Palacio had 13 points.
