LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Maylana Martin had 17 points and 12 rebounds as UCLA (No. 23 ESPN/USA Today, No. 20 AP) beat Arizona State 56-47 Thursday night. Martin's layup with 2:43 remaining capped a 10-3 run that put the Bruins ahead to stay at 52-44. Nicole Kaczmarski added 12 points for the Bruins (14-7, 8-3 Pac-10), who were tied with the Sun Devils 24-24 at halftime. Martin, the conference's leading rebounder, was 7-of-14 from the field. Rachel Holt scored 12 points and Kristine Sand added 11 for Arizona State (13-9, 6-6). The Sun Devils led 33-30 with 16:34 to play before Martin hit a jumper and a layup to put UCLA up by one. The Bruins held the lead the rest of the game. There were six ties and four lead changes in the first half, but Arizona State could never go up by more than four points.
