LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Tashara Carter had 14 points to lead five Southern California players in double figures in an 80-68 victory over Arizona (No. 14 ESPN/USA Today, No. 15 AP) on Thursday night. The Trojans (5-6, 10-11 Pac-10) used a 19-2 run late in the first half to take a 35-20 halftime lead. Southern California led by as many as 16 points in the second half, but Arizona got within 69-64 on a jumper by Angela Lackey with 4:38 remaining. The Trojans made nine free throws over the final four minutes to clinch the win. The loss ended a six-game winning streak for Arizona (9-3, 20-4). The Wildcats led only once, 9-6 less than four minutes into the game. Reshea Bristol scored 18 points and Lackey added 16 for Arizona. Tiffany Elmore scored 11 points and Danielle Golay, Tiffany Washington and Carmen Krause added 10 points each for the Trojans, who beat No. 24 UCLA 73-69 on Saturday. Erica Mashia scored all nine of her points during the Trojans' first-half run, which lasted nearly eight minutes.
