NORFOLK, Virginia (Ticker) -- Okeisha Howard and Kim Giddens each scored 19 points off the bench to lead five players in double figures as 16th-ranked Old Dominion crushed American, 91-51, for its 94th straight Colonial Athletic Association win.

Lucienne Berthieu added 18 points and six rebounds and Natalie Diaz added 13 and six steals for the Lady Monarchs (18-4, 11-0 CAA). Old Dominion also got 12 points from Hamchetou Maiga, collected 18 steals and forced 26 turnovers.

The Lady Monarchs shot 44 percent (27-of-61) from the field, limited American to 31 percent (16-of-52) and had a 47-31 rebounding advantage.

Jaye Marolla scored 13 points and fellow reserve Danielle Johnson had 10 for the Eagles (11-10, 4-7), who have lost six of their last eight games.
