LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Tiffany Elmore scored 20 points and Southern California had an 18-6 run over the final seven minutes to beat No. 20 UCLA 73-69 on Saturday. The Trojans (9-11, 4-6 Pacific-10) stopped a three-game losing streak by defeating their cross-town rival.
Elmore hit a jumper with 51 seconds left to put USC up 69-67, the Bruins turned the ball over twice, and the Trojans hit four free throws to clinch the victory. Danielle Golay scored 12 points and Denise Woods 11 for the Trojans. Tashara Carter added 10 points and three steals for the Trojans, who trailed by 11 points late in the first half. The Bruins (13-7, 7-3) were up 38-31 at the half. They took a 63-55 lead with 7:04 left on a free throw by Nicole Kaczmarski, but scored only six more points. Kaczmarski finished with 17 points to lead a balanced UCLA scoring attack. Janae Hubbard had 16 points and 14 rebounds, Maylana Martin added 15 points, and Erica Gomez 13 for the Bruins, who were without steals leader Michelle Greco. | ALSO SEE Womens College Basketball Scoreboard
