EVANSTON, Ill. (AP) -- Allison Curtin scored 20 points, helping Illinois (No. 12 ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll, No. 13 AP) snap a three-game losing skid with an 82-65 win over Northwestern on Sunday. Tauja Catchings added 19 points and Shavonna Hunter scored 14 for the Illini (15-7, 5-3 Big Ten). Leslie Schock scored 18 for the Wildcats (6-11, 3-4). Catchings scored seven points in the first 12 minutes of the second half as Illinois maintained its eight-point halftime lead. Hunter sank two free throws with 8:39 left and Catchings hit a drive with 6:52 remaining, pushing the lead to 62-50. Leslie Dolland's free throw with 5:25 left and baseline jumper with 4:38 remaining drew the Wildcats within 62-53. But Hunter scored on a drive and Karen Hagberg made a short jumper in the next minute, restoring Illinois' double-digit lead.
