STARKVILLE, Mississippi (Ticker) -- LaToya Thomas scored 23 points to lead five players in double figures as Mississippi State posted a 86-73 Southeastern Conference victory over South Carolina. Thomas was 9-of-17 from the field and grabbed eight rebounds for the Lady Bulldogs (13-2, 2-2 SEC), who extended their school-record home winning streak to 15 games. Cynthia Hall and Jennifer Fambrough added 14 points apiece for Mississippi State, which shot 60 percent (12-of-20) in the first half and built a 41-31 advantage at halftime. Shaun Gortman scored 22 points for the Lady Gamecocks (10-6, 0-3), who trailed by as many as 17 in the second half. South Carolina shot 39 percent (11-of-28) in the first half and has never won in five tries at Mississippi State.
