WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) -- Camille Cooper scored 14 points, leading Purdue to a 77-60 victory over Minnesota Sunday, ending its three-game Big Ten losing streak. Kelly Komara added 13 points and Katie Douglas had 12 points, nine rebounds and a career-high 10 assists for Purdue (No. 16 ESPN/USA Today; No. 18 AP). The Boilermakers (10-5, 2-3 Big Ten) outscored the Gophers 17-1 in the first nine minutes. Minnesota scored its first point on Moneeke Bowden's free throw with 16:30 remaining in the first half, but didn't score again until Lindsay Lieser hit a 3-pointer at the 10:55 mark. The Gophers (7-9, 1-5) trimmed the deficit to 10, 25-15, with 6:06 left on Brandi Harris' 3-pointer, but Purdue went on a 17-9 run and led 42-24 at the half. Cassie VanderHeyden led Minnesota with 17 points. Bowden finished with 15 points and Lindsay Lieser added 14 points for the Gophers, who have dropped five consecutive conference games. Minnesota didn't get any closer than 45-32 in the second half on VanderHeyden's 3-pointer with 18:04 remaining. Purdue twice had leads of 23 points during the final three minutes.
The Gophers had 27 turnovers, while Purdue committed 13. Purdue hit 50 percent of its shots (30 of 60), while Minnesota shot 41
percent (20 of 48).
