CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (AP) -- Allison Curtin scored 27 points to lead four players in double figures as Illinois (No. 16 ESPN/USA Today, No. 15 AP) routed Iowa 86-60 in Big Ten women's basketball Friday night.
Illinois (13-4, 3-0) led 32-23 at halftime and put the game away with 54 second-half points. Susan Blauser scored 22 points for the Fighting Illini, Tauja Catchings added 20 and Shavonna Hunter chipped in with 10. Blauser led the Illini with nine rebounds. Iowa (4-8, 1-2) was held to a shooting percentage of 33.9 for the game. Cara Consuegra with 20 points and Lindsey Meder with 19 were the only Hawkeyes in double figures. Randi Peterson grabbed 11 rebounds for Iowa, which dropped to 1-4 on the road.
