CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (AP) -- Susan Blauser had 24 points and 12 rebounds as Illinois (No. 20 ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll, No. 17 AP) beat No. 5 Georgia 82-65 on Sunday.
Allison Curtin added 19 points for the Illini (11-4), Tauja Catchings had 15, and Kristi Faulkner 12. Kelly Miller led the Bulldogs (14-2) with 19 points, and Coco Miller added 14. The Illini led by 18 points at halftime, and never let the Bulldogs closer than 14 in the second half. Illinois outshot Georgia 50 percent to 44 percent, and had a 48-28 rebounding advantage. "I don't think people realize how quick Illinois is until you get on the floor with us," Illini coach Theresa Grentz said. Georgia coach Andy Landers was impressed with the Illini.
