QB SPECIFICS
Arm Strength
A
An obvious A. Brad can throw the ball to any player on any portion of the field, he can do it on the run or from the pocket and does so almost effortlessly.
Escape Ability
A
Anyone could grade this category after watching him play. Brad is a moving target on every play, and it is almost impossible for the Iowa coaches to call a bad play because he has the potential to break a big play on every snap.
Quick Set Up
B+
He is good here, but not in a way that catches the eye like his play-action or bootleg abilities. This is not a big part of Brad's game.
Accuracy Long
B+
He could improve in this area as he sometimes overthrows balls and needs to keep some throws in play, but that will come in time for a player who is in just his second year in Division I and Brad is continuing to come into his own in this area.
Accuracy Short
B+
He does a great job on bootlegs and throwing to the tight end in the zone and is very tough to stop in those areas. Brad is able to throw back across his body on on short crossing routes and for a guy with a big arm he does a good job of taking something off the ball and adding a little touch on the short routes.
Locate 2nd Receiver
A-
This is where Brad is tough to judge, because when he is on his game everything looks so easy. Iowa is rolling right now and it seems like he is not having to make many tough decisions. But his ability to hit the tight end -- which is not usually the primary receiver on most pass plays -- leads one to belive he is following his progressions.
Running Ability
A
Tremendous. Brad could be the quarterback at Nebraska or Virginia Tech without a problem. He can move the ball with his feet and that is what got him in the lineup for the Hawkeyes. Very dangerous when he breaks the line of scrimmage.
Quickness of Delivery
B
He throws the ball so easily and so smoothly on the run that you don't notice his delivery being that quick, it just looks natural. Nothing really stands out in this area because Brad is under control at all times.
Judgment
B+
When a player goes into Michigan Stadium and lead his team to a 34-9 win it is obvious he can run the game plan. Brad was able to hang in during back-to-back close games with Penn State and Purdue, and being able to lead his team to victory in those games says a lot about his judgment on the field.
Poise
A
Brad has not played a lot of games but is still the unquestioned leader of the Iowa team. He handles the Hawkeyes well and he talks about his teammates during interviews rather than himself. He never gets rattled in game situations and is making a run at becoming one of the upper-echelon quarterbacks in college.

SUMMARY
Brad is having a tremendous year as a senior playing on a very good team. The coaches at Iowa are just now catching up to his ability and figuring out how good he can be. Brad showed flashes of that last season, but everyone is surprised at what a weapon he is. He has improved more than any quarterback this year and is playing at the highest level in college football right now.
