SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) _ Jay Rodgers threw for 256 yards and four touchdowns and Eric Tasby rushed for 122 yards and two touchdowns as Southwest Missouri State defeated Tennessee Martin 62-7 on Saturday.

Rodgers had touchdown passes of 36, 28 and 12 yards in a 28-point second quarter for the Bears (4-6). He connected with Ron Oliver on the first score with just over 11 minutes to play in the quarter and then hit Scan Adams on the other two scoring passes against Tennessee-Martin (1-10).

Brent Withers returned an interception 40 yards for a touchdown in the quarter as Southwest Missouri State led Tennessee-Martin 42-0 at the half.

Tasby had a 14-yard TD run in the third quarter and scored in the fourth quarter on a 54-yard run.

The Bears had 596 yards in total offense while limiting Tennessee-Martin to 167 yards.

Tennessee-Martin's only score came with 1:07 left to play when Danny Simms hit Rob Curtis with a 7-yard touchdown pass.
