BOX SCORE
HUNTSVILLE, Texas (AP) _ Albert Bradley passed for 165 yards and a touchdown in relief of injured quarterback Chris Chaloupka, and Sam Houston State beat Northwestern State 21-0 on Saturday. Chaloupka, the Southland Football League's leader in total offense this year, scored on a one-yard run on fourth-and-goal to open the scoring early in the second quarter. But he suffered a torn patella tendon on the play, and the Bearkats (6-4, 4-2 SFL) were forced to go with Bradley for the remainder of the game. Bradley immediately began picking apart the Northwestern State (4-6, 3-3) defense, engineering a 10-play, 79-yard drive that culminated in a 17-yard touchdown pss to Larry Nixon with 1:11 left in the half. Bradley completed 13 of 23 passes in the game. Joe Rawls, who rushed for the Bearkats' third touchdown, had 78 yards on 18 carries. Tony Taylor led the Demons with 20 carries for 90 yards.
