BOX SCORE
DAYTON, Ohio (AP) _ Kevin Wilson, making his first career start in his last home game, scored four touchdowns as Dayton won the Pioneer League championship Saturday with a 34-10 victory over Valparaiso. Wilson, a senior, scored on runs of 6, 22, 7 and 7 yards, with his last three touchdowns coming in a span of 5:05 in the late third and early fourth quarters. Wilson, who gained 123 yards in 19 attempts, was starting in place of senior tailback Jimmy Lee, who suffered a hamstring injury last week against St. Joseph's of Indiana. An 11-yard run by Pat McLaughlin in the first quarter opened the scoring for the Flyers (6-3 overall, 4-0 conference). The Crusasders (6-2, 3-1) scored all their points in the third quarter on a 1-yard run by Andy Huegli and a 27-yard field goal by Eric Strasser. The Flyers finished with 221 rushing yards against a defense that had been limiting opponents to 79.3 yards per game on the ground. Valparaiso finished with 45 rushing yards in 39 attempts.
