NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) _ Stacey Nobles rushed for a season-high 217 yards on 41 carries Saturday, scoring one touchdown and leading Liberty to a 34-14 victory over Charleston Southern. Liberty (4-4) took a 7-0 lead in the first quarter when Gavin Kralik caught an 11-yard touchdown pass from Christian Newsome, the first of Newsome's three scoring throws. Charleston Southern (2-5) tied the game in the second quarter on a Jeff McCool pass to Mark Vail. But Liberty's Jay Kelly kicked a 26-yard field goal in the last minute of the first half to give the Flames a lead they would never surrender. A touchdown run by Nobles and another Kelly field goal put the Flames up 20-7 at the end of the third quarter. Vail and McCool hooked up again for a fourth-quarter touchdown, but Liberty's Newsome answered with two more scoring passes. Liberty's offense gained 309 yards on the ground, while the defense held the Buccaneers to just 89 rushing yards.
