MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) _ Drew Miller threw for 301 yards and three touchdowns and Montana's defense had seven interceptions Saturday in a 25-7 victory over Eastern Washington. Montana (6-1 overall, 5-1 Big Sky) never quite got untracked offensively, and was flagged for 103 yards in penalties while punting seven times. Eastern Washington (4-4, 3-2) held Montana to just half its season scoring average. Kris Heppner gave Montana a 3-0 lead on a 41-yard field goal just three minutes into the game. The Grizzlies, ranked fourth in NCAA Division I-AA, took a 10-0 lead on a 22-yard pass from Miller to tight end Dallas Neil. Eastern Washington answered with a 1-yard run by Jesse Chatman with 5:39 left in the second quarter. Montana put together its best drive of the game, with Miller throwing passes of 27 yards to Tanner Hancock and 39 yards to Jimmy Farris, to set up an 8-yard scoring pass to Jeremy Watkins with 2:59 left in the half. The extra point failed and the Grizzlies led 16-7 at the break. Montana took a 22-7 lead on a 4-yard pass from Miller to Farris with 10:34 left in the third quarter. Neither team scored until the 5:43 mark in the fourth quarter, when Heppner booted a 27-yard field goal to wrap up the scoring. Vince Huntsberger had three interceptions and Jason Miller two for the Grizzlies. Chris Samms completed 12 of 32 passes for 140 yards and was intercepted five times, while EWU running back Jovan Griffith was held to 61 yards and Jesse Chatman to 41. Chatman rushed for over 200 yards in EWU's previous two games.
