PITTSBURGH (AP) _ Tony Zimmerman threw for three touchdowns and Josh Rue ran for three more to lead Duquesne to a 51-6 win over St. Peter's on Saturday. Zimmerman, who completed 15 of 38 passes for 152 yards, connected with Reggie Harris on touchdown passes of 6 yards in the second quarter and 27 yards in the fourth quarter. Zimmerman also threw an 8-yard touchdown pass to Gerald Foster. Rue rushed for 54 yards on 10 carries and scored on a 14-yard run in the third quarter, and on runs of 13 and 5 yards in the fourth quarter. Rue also threw a 32-yard touchdown pass for Foster in the third quarter. Duquesne (3-1, 3-1 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) accumulated 27 first downs and 418 yards in total offense. Donte Small led the Dukes in rushing with 123 yards on 22 carries. St. Peter's (1-3, 1-3) was held to three first downs and 68 yards in total offense. The Peacocks, who turned the ball over four times, scored their only touchdown on an 18-yard pass from James Lyver to Sylvester Miller in the third quarter.
