LEWISBURG, Pa. (AP) _ Jason Marrow rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown, and Don McDowell passed for a score and rushed for two as Bucknell beat Delaware State 38-28 on Saturday. The Bison (3-1) came back from a 14-6 deficit and held off the Hornets (1-3) after they got within three points, 31-28, in the fourth quarter. Marrow scored on a 1-yard TD run with 8:03 left for the final margin. The Hornets had the ball three more times, but twice failed to convert on fourth down. After Delaware State cut it to 31-21, McDowell was sacked and fumbled at the Bucknell 14. Delaware State's Marcus Howard recovered, and Grayland King scored on a 4-yard run to cut it to 31-28 before Marrow sealed the victory. Bucknell opened the scoring at the 4:44 mark in the first quarter on McDowell's 15-yard TD run. The Hornets followed with a 79-yard TD pass from Rahsaan Matthews to Darnerian McCants. After the Hornets recovered an onside kick, Matthews hit Albert Horsey for a 47-yard touchdown on the next play, making it 14-6. McDowell hit Mark Wyland for a 15-yard touchdown, and the two hooked up for a 2-point conversion to tie it at 14-all. The Bison took the lead for good in the second quarter, driving 61 yards in nine plays. McDowell scored on a 6-yard run, his second rushing touchdown in the game for a 21-14 lead. Bucknell gained 233 yards on the ground and took advantage of 13 Delaware State penalties.
