Nathan Villegas kicked a 25-yard field goal to tie the game and Feeley found Collins and Ray Brust from 35 yards, giving the Ducks a 24-10 halftime lead. Quarterback Jason Stuckey's one-yard TD run capped the opening possession of the second half and cut the deficit to 24-16 before Oregon's offense exploded. Scores by Droughns and Fletcher extended the lead to 38-16 with 3:12 remaining. After the safety, the Ducks took possession and marched 63 yards, Allan Amundson's two-yard TD run making it 47-16 with 10:19 to go. Paul Smith added TD runs of four and 71 yards for the Miners.
