MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) _ Freshman backup Nick Walker threw a 23-yard touchdown pass to Etu Molden Saturday to lift Montana to a 41-38 double overtime victory over Sacramento State.

Montana (2-0 overall, 1-9 Big Sky) took a 28-3 lead on a 2-yard pass from Drew Miller to Jeremy Watkins with 8:52 left in the third quarter.

But Sacramento (1-1, 0-1) answered with a 42-yard field goal by Scott Brown and three fourth-quarter touchdowns from Ricky Ray to Chris Kelly _ the last with 31 seconds to play _ to tie the score at 28-all.

Sacramento State went up 35-28 after Ray and Kelly hooked up for a 16-yard touchdown.

Montana then took the ball on the 25-yard line and scored on a 6-yard run by Nate Sanders.

Sacramento State had to settle for a 26-yard field goal by Brown in the second overtime, and Montana took the victory on Walker's pass to Molden.

Miller threw for 242 yards and two touchdowns for Montana, but had three interceptions, before he was taken out midway through the fourth quarter with an injured shoulder. Yohance Humphery rushed 27 times for 167 yards and a second quarter score for the Grizzlies, ranked No. 3 in NCAA Division I-AA.

Charles Roberts rushed 25 times for 122 yards, while Ray threw for 233 yards and four touchdowns, all to Kelly, who finished with 102 yards receiving.
