LOUISVILLE, Kentucky (Ticker) -- Frank Moreau stole the spotlight from Chris Redman with career highs of 189 rushing yards and four touchdowns to lead Louisville to a 58-30 victory over Division I-AA foe Chattanooga.

Moreau eclipsed his career high of 181 yards set in last week's 56-28 win over Kentucky. The four touchdowns bettered a pair of three-TD performances in his 1997 sophomore season. He already has bettered his total yardage from last season (307) and helped Louisville to its first 2-0 start since 1995, when the Cardinals went 7-4.

Redman continued his assault on the Cardinals' record book, completing 25-of-33 passes for 238 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. The points were the most by Louisville since a 66-26 thrashing of Drake on October 16, 1966.

Redman, a Heisman Trophy hopeful, has thrown for 562 yards and seven touchdowns. He is 544 yards shy of 10,000 for his career and already holds the school record in that category.

The Mocs (1-1) took a 3-0 lead on a 26-yard field goal by Matt Vick 2:50 into the contest, but Zek Parker took the ensuing kickoff 97 yards for his first career return touchdown.

Moreau added a three-yard run 48 seconds later and Redman hooked up with Arnold Jackson from 15 yards as the Cardinals held a 21-3 lead with 10:25 to play in the first quarter.

Moreau added a one-yard plunge and defensive back Michael Brown raced 74 yards with an interception to give Louisville a 35-9 halftime lead. Moreau's third touchdown was a 50-yard dash and he added a seven-yard jaunt to extend the Cardinals' lead to 49-9 midway through the third quarter.

Jackson and Lavell Boyd combined to catch 17 passes for 177 yards for the Cardinals, who opened a four-game homestand that also features Illinois, Oklahoma and Eastern Michigan.

Chattanooga's Chris Sanders, a transfer from SMU, was 33-of-52 for 367 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions. Cos De Matteo, who moved from quarterback to wide receiver after Sanders' arrival, had 13 catches and 207 yards in his first game at the position.
