Report: Little arrested on multiple charges

CINCINNATI -- Center Donald Little was dismissed from
Cincinnati's basketball team because he was arrested for traffic
violations, including drunken driving, according to a published
report.
Coach Bob Huggins kicked the sophomore off the team Saturday for
"conduct detrimental to the basketball program." Neither Huggins
nor university officials will comment any further about the
infraction.
The Cincinnati Enquirer reported that police stopped Little's
car on Interstate 75 in northern Kentucky at 2:18 a.m. Saturday. He
was arrested on charges of speeding, drunken driving, driving with
a suspended license and possession of marijuana.
The Boone County sheriff's department couldn't confirm the
arrest on Sunday.
The newspaper also reported that Little was arrested Sept. 20,
2000 in Cincinnati for driving without a license plate and driving
with a suspended license.
Little was the Bearcats' starting center last season, but his
inability to score and his propensity to foul quickly diminished
his playing time. B.J. Grove, who was out of shape when the season
began, started 18 of the last 21 games.
Grove was reinstated to the team last July after he was
acquitted of beating up the mother of his two children. The charge
was dismissed when the woman refused to testify, and the university
accepted Grove back to the team.
