The lowdown
2000-01 record: 16-15; 9-7 in SEC (3rd in East)
Final Ranking: NR
Postseason: Lost to Missouri 70-68 in first round of NCAA Tournament.
Three Questions for 2001-02
1. Who will replace Ezra Williams, Anthony Evans and Robb Dryden in the post? Who will be counted on to score, to lead, to rebound?
2. Will the Bulldogs get someone to replace D.A. Layne's scoring on the wing? Can Rashad Wright pick up the slack?
3. All three of the Bulldogs' recruits failed to qualify, thus Georgia won't fill the voids created by Layne's early departure and graduation. Will they be able to survive in the SEC with only eight scholarship players?
Andy Katz's Scenarios
Best case: Georgia makes quick work of the rebuilding phase and gets out of last place, with a run to the NIT.
Worst case: Georgia goes from the darlings of the selection committee to out of the postseason.
