SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) _ Allen Phillips scored 20 points Sunday as Southwest Missouri State beat Indiana State 64-48 and snapped the Sycamores' winning streak at seven games. Eight of Phillips' points came in a late 20-4 run as the Bears pulled away from a 44-all tie in the final 6:27. Indiana State (16-6, 9-2 Missouri Valley Conference) went on a 17-5 surge early in the second half and led 35-29 with 14:43 remaining. But the Bears (13-9, 6-5) took the lead for good with a 12-0 run. Southwest Missouri State, which shot just 31 percent (9-for-29) in the first half, hit 16 of 21 shots _ 76 percent _ in the second. Indiana State was even colder in the first half _ 9-for-31, 29 percent _ and finished the game at 34 percent (20-for-59). Matt Rueter had 10 points for Southwest Missouri State, and Scott Brakebill had 14 rebounds _ 13 on defense. Michael Menser led Indiana State with 14 points and Nate Green added 13.
