Lee Nailon
Drafted by:
Charlotte, Round 2, pick 43.

EXPERT ANALYSIS
"Lee Nailon declared for the draft following his junior season, but after a lackluster showing at the pre-draft camps, he opted to return for his senior season. Nailon is an undersized post player who has difficulty stepping out on the perimeter and facing the basket. He is at his best with his back to the basket or running the court, and his lefty scoring ability reminds me of former St. John's star Walter Berry.

Nailon must show consistency with his outside shot, and the ability to put the ball on the floor and get his own shot and get to the basket. Nailon is a strong rebounder but has yet to show that he can defend a quick perimeter player. The question I have about Nailon is: Where does he play out on the floor? At 6-9, the 23-year-old lefty scores by running the court, and has been compared to Wayman Tisdale and Stacey King, who played for Billy Tubbs at Oklahoma. The comparisons are not necessarily accurate beyond being lefthanded and ringing up a lot of points.

Nailon has decent skills, and is quick inside, and has a quick trigger to get the ball up to the hole. Nailon gets the ball in TCU's early offense after running the floor and beating his man into the post. Nailon is physical, but can he beat anyone off the dribble?"
