Tim James
Drafted by:
Miami, Round 1, pick 25.

EXPERT ANALYSIS
"Tim James stands about 6-7 and is a superior athletic specimen. James can run and jump with the best in the draft, and was a high-jump champion in college. James made his bones in the post and along the baseline his first few years at Miami, and only this season showed his ability to step out on the perimeter. James has a good mid-range shot along the baseline and can hit the perimeter jumper when he's left open, but still hasnt shown the ability to put the ball to the wood and get somewhere.

James likes to take 3-pointers as the trailer on the break, but rarely takes one or two dribbles and pulls up. James will have to play the small forward spot, which will be a difficult transition. He is not a great ballhandler or shooter; rather, he is more of an offensive rebounder and finisher that can play inside and step out on occasion. James' intensity is sometimes an issue, as he will float on the perimeter in some games."
