Derek Hood

EXPERT ANALYSIS
"Derek Hood never really lived up to his press clippings while at Arkansas. A Parade All-America coming out of high school, Hood had a powerful inside game on the collegiatel level, but lacked consistency on the perimeter. Hood does not handle the ball particularly well and does not have range on his perimeter shot. He has very good leaping ability, but lacks the size to compete successfully inside, and lacks the small forward skills to make it on the perimeter. Hood, while gifted athletically, may be too much of a 'tweener to make it."
