MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Philadelphia coach Larry Brown was amazed at his team's defense in the final quarter on Saturday night. The 76ers held Milwaukee to just 11 fourth-quarter points en route to an 82-79 victory. "To hold that team to 11 fourth-quarter points is a miracle," Brown said. "To win here is amazing." Eric Snow scored a season-high 18 points and rookie teammateTodd MacCulloch added 16, also season-high. "Eric was phenomenal," Brown said. "He had so many big plays on both ends. But we had so many big plays and guys step up. Eric is the one you look at immediately." Ray Allen, who led Milwaukee with 23 points, missed a game-tying 3-pointer as time expired. "I was wide open. I didn't expect to be that open," Allen said. The Bucks had a 71-67 lead with 7:45 left in the game when Philadelphia made its comeback by going on a 7-0 run. Snow's lay-up with 1:05 left in the fourth quarter gave Philadelphia an 80-75 lead that matched the 76ers largest of the game. "If I'm open I'm going to take the shot," Snow said. "The way they played their switching defense opened up the lane." With the score 80-77, Sam Cassell missed a 3-pointer to tie the game with just over 10 seconds left. He thought he was fouled and received a technical with 9.9 seconds left. Snow made the free throw to extend the lead to four. Cassell's basket cut the lead to 81-79 with two seconds left. "We didn't make shots," Cassell said. "There's nothing wrong with our offense." Milwaukee started out the game scoring 14 of the first 16 points before Philadelphia went on a 17-6 run to cut the deficit to 20-19. Philadelphia took its only lead of the first half, 35-34, on an Aaron McKie basket with 5:10 left in the second quarter. The half ended with Milwaukee ahead, 48-42. Game notesTheo Ratliff missed the second straight game because of a sore left ankle. ... Cassell did not attempt a free throw, keeping his streak of 27 consecutive free throws made alive. ... Philadelphia's defense has held its opponent under 100 points in nine of the last 10 games.
