CHICAGO (AP) _ Derek Anderson scored 19 points, including a technical foul-drawing slam dunk, as the Los Angeles Clippers beat the Chicago Bulls 93-72 Saturday night in a sloppy, foul-filled game.

The Bulls pulled within 39-38 on Toni Kukoc's 19-foot jumper with 10:01 left in the third quarter, but Michael Olowokandi sandwiched two straight baskets and a foul shot around a three-point play from Anderson for an 8-2 run, and the Bulls never threatened again.

Olowokandi finished with 14 points, and Brian Skinner added 13. Lamar Odom, the Clippers' top rookie, fouled out with eight points.

Kukoc and rookie Elton Brand, the No. 1 pick in the draft, each had 15 points for the Bulls. Brand and fellow rookie Ron Artest provided the only entertainment for Bulls fans in the second half, combining for 13 points in the fourth quarter.

Both teams looked like they were in mid-season form _ and that's not a good thing. They were two of the NBA's worst teams last season, and if they keep this up, they'll be headed back to the draft lottery.

Balls were clanging off the rims all night. The Clippers had 21 turnovers and the Bulls had 16. Chicago shot a pathetic 34 percent (26-of-77) from the field, and couldn't even crack 56 percent (19-of-34) from the free throw line.

The Clippers fared better, but not by much. They were 42 percent (33-of-79) from the field.

There were 62 fouls called, and only four players _ Brand, Will Perdue, Charles Smith and Charles Jones _ escaped unscathed. Odom, Maurice Taylor, Tyrone Nesby and Hersey Hawkins all fouled out.
