TORONTO (AP) _ Lamar Odom, who slipped to fourth overall in the draft, scored 25 points as the Los Angeles Clippers beat the Toronto Raptors 112-102 in a preseason game Friday night. With game tied 91-91 with 6:40 remaining, Odom faked a pass and nailed a jumper from 10 feet out to give the Clippers the lead for good. Derek Anderson, who scored 20 points, had six points down the stretch to help seal the victory. Odom was considered the best talent in the draft, but his stock fell after he fired his agent, failed to show up for workouts and changed his mind about entering the NBA. But having already hired an agent, Odom was forced to enter the draft and he was chosen by the Clippers. He has impressed during training camp and in L.A.'s first two preseason games Odom was 8-for-17 from the field and 9-for-13 from the line. Vince Carter, last year's rookie of the year, led the Raptors with 24 points. Millionaire rapper Percy Miller, known as Master P., played in the last two minutes of the game, committing two fouls and missing a 21-foot jumper. Tracy McGrady had 22 points for Toronto. Carter gave Toronto a 10-point lead at the half with 21 points, including an eye-popping dunk that brought the crowd to its feat. After McGrady fed Carter on a fast break, Carter drove baseline and while elevating under the basket, transferred the ball from one hand to the other before jamming it in.
