Kings claim easy win over Warriors

RECAP | BOX SCORE | GAME FLOW

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) -- The Sacramento Kings won't have home-court advantage in the playoffs. Until Thursday night, that was starting to look like a good thing.

Chris Webber scored 22 points and Vlade Divac had 15 points and 11 rebounds as the Kings rolled past the Golden State Warriors 130-107 after losing three straight games -- all at home.

Sacramento, seventh in the Western Conference standings, increased its lead over idle eighth-place Seattle to one game with four remaining.

Golden State provided little defense as the Kings tied their season high for points. Sacramento's players said they were determined not to allow the home slide to extend to four games.

"We had lost three tough games that we played hard and felt we should have won," Kings guard Nick Anderson said. "We wanted to come out with some intensity and give them no breathing room. We didn't want to give them any confidence."

Sacramento led by six points after one quarter, stretched the margin to 17 by halftime and were up by as many as 26 points in the third period.

"This felt really good, much better than the other three, we really needed this win," Kings coach Rick Adelman said. "I didn't have to push anyone or play them extended minutes."

Larry Hughes had 35 points and 12 rebounds for the Warriors, who had won two straight after losing the previous 11. Reserve Sam Jacobson had a career-high 19 points and Jason Caffey added 11. "I just think we made some fundamental mistakes at both ends of the floor and that caused the deficit at halftime," Warriors coach Garry St. Jean said. "From then on we weren't able to provide the punch to get back in the game."

Anderson and Predrag Stojakovic both had 13 points, Tony Delk 12 and Corliss Williamson 11 for the Kings, who made 33 of 46 free throws.

Sacramento plays at the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday, the first of four straight games against playoff teams.

"I think the schedule is great for us, we're facing playoff teams," Divac said. "It's a good challenge for us, see where we are at."

Sacramento made 9 of 13 shots in the third quarter and continued going to the free-throw line frequently in building a 91-70 lead.

The Kings opened the third quarter with a 9-2 run, taking a 74-52 lead at the 8:20 mark on a close-range basket by Divac.

Sacramento used an up-tempo game to grab a 65-48 halftime lead as Webber had 13 points and Divac 11.

The Kings' reserves had 24 points in the first half, including 20 in the second quarter.
