CHICAGO (AP) _ Elden Campbell scored 25 points and Eddie Jones added 23 as the Charlotte Hornets won their sixth straight, 90-87 over the Chicago Bulls on Saturday night. Anthony Mason added 15 points, nine rebounds and seven assists for the Hornets, who led 81-71 with 5:26 left. Hersey Hawkins' 3-pointer following a Charlotte turnover pulled the Bulls to 87-84 with 52 seconds remaining. Elton Brand made one of two free throws with 20 seconds left and followed with a dunk as Chicago closed to 88-87 with five seconds to go. But Jones made two free throws, and Chris Carr missed a 3-point shot from halfcourt. Brand had 24 points and eight rebounds for the Bulls, who have lost four straight, and Ron Artest scored 20. Eight quick points from Brand helped Chicago take a 17-7 lead, but Charlotte went ahead for the first time on its final possession of the quarter, 21-20 on two Jones free throws. The Bulls came back as Artest scored 11 points during 19-8 run and regained the lead 39-29 at with just over three minutes left. Charlotte then closed the half with a 10-4 spurt to chop Chicago's lead to 43-39. Jones' 3-pointer closed Charlotte to 52-50 with 7:24 left in the third. Following a Bulls' turnover, David Wesley inbounded to a streaking Jones,. who in turn passed to Campbell for a breakaway layup, tying the game at 52. Another run, this one 19-8 by Charlotte, ended the third and gave the Hornets a 71-60 lead. Notes: Mason entered averaging 20.4 points, 11 rebounds and 8.6 assists in his previous five games. ...
