CLEVELAND (AP) -- Bryon Russell scored 13 points and Karl Malone 11 during a 36-8 third-quarter run, leading the Utah Jazz over the Cleveland Cavaliers 107-86 Thursday night. Howard Eisley scored 24 points for Jazz, including 10 during the fourth quarter. Malone finished with 21 and Russell with 18. Together, Malone and Russell helped turn a 47-41 deficit into a 77-55 lead during the big run, which began with a 17-0 spurt over a 3:42 span. Malone started the streak with a 17-footer and ended it with a 14-foot fallaway jumper. Cleveland was led by Danny Ferry with 15 points and nine rebounds. Ferry did not miss a shot in the first half, going 5-for-5 from the field and 4-for-4 from the line for 15 points in just 15 minutes. Ferry replaced foul-plagued Shawn Kemp with 3:26 left in the first quarter and Cleveland trailing 18-9. The Cavs then outscored Utah 36-23 to lead 45-41 at halftime,. Kemp got his fourth foul 2:55 into the second half and did not return until Cleveland trailed 89-67 with 7:20 to play. He was ejected just 3:51 later for arguing with referee Ken Mauer. Ferry missed all five shots he took in the second half. Cleveland got a brief lift from 5-foot-5 Earl Boykins, who scored seven points in a 10-4 run to start the fourth quarter. Utah then regained command with a 9-0 run, sparked by Eisley. Game notesThe Cavs' Mark Bryant had 12 points -- breaking an 18-game streak in which he had not scored in double figures. Cleveland's starting center Andrew DeClercq was scoreless, extending his streak to 29 games without reaching double figures. ...
