ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) _ John Amaechi scored a career-high 25 points, all but two in the first half, to lead the Orlando Magic to a 120-100 rout of the Golden State Warriors on Monday night. Amaechi's backup, Michael Doleac, had a season-high 23 points and Ron Mercer scored 18 in his second game since coming to the Magic in a trade last week. Antawn Jamison led Golden State with 22 points. Vonteego Cummings had 19 points, all in the second half, and Jason Caffey finished with 18. But after winning four in a row, the Warriors have reverted to their old ways the last two games. They never led Monday night, and coach Garry St. Jean was ejected when he drew two technicals for comments to officials with 2:18 left in the second quarter. Orlando shot 61 percent to build a 66-44 halftime lead. The Warriors missed 17 of 25 shots in the opening quarter and was 18-for-52 (35 percent), including 1-of-8 on 3-point attempts, at the break. The Magic's usually low-scoring centers led the first-half domination. Amaechi, averaging 8.6 but coming off a 19-point outing in Saturday night's win over Indiana, made 7 of 10 shots from the field and was 9-for-10 from the foul line for 23 first-half points. There was no dropoff when Doleac, a part-time starter averaging just under eight points per game, entered. He made 6 of 7 shots and had 13 points at the half. Orlando blew a 17-point lead before pulling away from the Pacers in the fourth quarter of Saturday night's game. The Warriors, however, never made a serious run after falling behind 27-9 with just over three minutes left in the first quarter. The Magic led by 30 before Golden State trimmed its deficit to 112-97 with 3:07 to go. But by then it was much too late to get back in the game. Notes: Golden State's Donyell Marshall sat out the second quarter after being poked in the left eye. He returned in the third quarter but finished with no points on 0-for-8 shooting in 15 minutes. He did grab eight rebounds ... Orlando owns the rights to the Warriors' first-round draft pick in 2000 as part of the draft-day deal that sent Chris Webber to Golden State for Penny Hardaway six years ago ... Chucky Atkins had 13 assists for Orlando and Darrell Armstrong had 10.
