Pitched out of the bullpen and occasionally as a starter ... In his first 31 appearances, all in relief, compiled a 2.97 ERA and a 2-0 record ... Allowed left-handers to hit just .200 ... Appeared in five games in the NLCS vs. Philadelphia, posting a 1.80 ERA.

Didn't allow a run from May 23 to July 27, a span of 22 games and 25 innings ... Held opposing batters to a .207 average ...
