Signed by the Baltimore Orioles as a free agent on April 8, 1995 ... Jones was successful in 22 of 25 save opportunities on the year...It marked the eighth time in his career that he earned 20 or more saves in a season and the fifth consecutively...Doug concluded the '95 season with 239 career saves, 11th on the all-time list....Retired 33 of 52 first batters faced......Opponents batted .286 (55-192) against Jones...Lefties hit .229 (24-105) against him while righties hit .356 (31-87) ... Finished one point behind Lee Smith in the Rolaids Relief Man voting ... Set a club record with 36 saves and finished first in the NL in relief wins (11), second in appearances, fourth in saves, and fifth in relief ERA (1.85) ... Finished 70 games, 12 more than any other NL reliever ... Was the first true reliever to lead the Astros in wins ... Made his fourth All-Star appearance ... Walked just five batters in 51 2/3 innings after the All-Star break and just four in 48 1/3 on the road ... Lined out in his first major league at-bat, April 22 vs. San Francisco.

Seventh and final season with the Cleveland organization ... After struggling in the bullpen over the first half of the season, was sent to the minors ... Converted his first three save opportunities and was 0-2 with a 5.00 ERA and five saves in April ... Was 1-6 with a 6.67 ERA and six saves in 11 chances at the All-Star break ... Gave up five earned runs in three innings in a pair of games after the break and was sent down to Colorado Springs July 24 ... Earned saves in four of his first games with the Sky Sox ... Was moved into the starting rotation for Colorado Springs ... Tossed a five-hitter vs. Tucson in the PCL playoffs, striking out 11 ... Was recalled Sept. 8 and made his first major league start two days later at Milwaukee ... Fanned a career-best 13 (in eight innings) in his next start, a 3-1 win over Detroit ... Won his third start, defeating Detroit 6-4 on Sept. 25 ... Only loss came in his last start Oct. 2 vs. Milwaukee ... Broke his own club record by saving 43 games, his third straight season with 30 or more saves ... Was named Cleveland's Man of the Year by the local BBWAA chapter ... Was successful in his first 13 save opportunities and did not blow a save until May 16 ... Became the first Indian to be named to three straight All-Star games since Sam McDowell went to four straight from 1968-71.

Passed the 30-save mark for the second straight year and became Cleveland's all-time save leader in the process ... Broke Ray Narleski's club record of 53 saves on May 19 in Baltimore ... Saved 50 games in 122 appearances, second quickest in history in terms of appearances (Todd Worrell, 109) ... Earned the save in the AL's 5-3 win in the All-Star game at Chicago.

Established a club-record 37 saves in his first full season in the majors ... Set a major league record by earning saves in 15 consecutive appearances from May 13 to July 2, breaking Steve Bedrosian's record of 13 ... Broke Ernie Camacho's club single-season record with his 24th save on July 26 vs. Baltimore ... Named Cleveland's Man of the Year by the local BBWAA chapter and Co-Comeback Player of the Year by Baseball Today.

Split the season between Cleveland and Buffalo (AAA) ... Opened the season with the Indians as a middle reliever and appeared in seven games, posting a 0-1 mark with a 5.79 ERA before being outrighted to the minors April 28 ... Was 5-2 with seven saves and a 2.04 ERA in 23 relief appearances for the Bisons ... Struck out 61 in 61 2/3 innings, while allowing just 49 hits ... Recalled to the Indians June 28 ... Recorded wins in three of his first five appearances between July 2 and July 9 ... In a 10-game span between July 26 and Aug. 16, Doug had four saves and a 0.46 ERA in 19 2/3 innings ... Had an 0-1 mark with a 1.11 ERA and four saves in 13 August appearances ... Was 6-4 with eight saves and a 2.68 ERA in 42 appearances after returning from Triple-A ... Led the team in ERA (3.15), saves (8), and games finished (29) ... Was 8-13 in save situations and ranked eighth among AL relievers in strikeouts and ERA.

Led the International League with a 2.09 ERA at Maine (AAA) ... Named to Baseball America's International League All-Star team ... Called up to Cleveland Sept. 1 and only allowed a run in two of his 11 relief appearances ... Completed campaign with a string of 14 1/3 consecutive scoreless frames in his last eight appearances ... Recorded first major league save Sept. 14 vs. Oakland ... Earned first major league win Sept. 26 at Seattle.

1985
Signed by the Tribe as a free agent April 3 and assigned to Waterbury (AA) ... Spent the whole season at the Double-A level and was used exclusively as a reliever for the first time in his career ... Finished fourth in the Eastern League with 29 relief points and 112 strikeouts.

1984
Spent his seventh and last season in the Milwaukee organization ... Pitched for both El Paso (AA) and Vancouver (AAA) ... Missed one month of the season with a sore right shoulder ... Had a combined minor league record of 7-8 ... Threw seven complete games in 16 starts with El Paso.

1983
Made three appearances with Vancouver before going on the DL from April 11 to Sept. 1 ... Underwent an arthroscopic examination on his right shoulder, but no tear was revealed.

1982
Made the Brewers roster out of spring training and made his major league debut April 9 vs. Toronto, with one scoreless inning of relief ... Was sent down to Vancouver April 23 ... Posted a 2.97 ERA, which would have been good for fourth-place in the PCL if he had thrown nine more innings.
