MINNEAPOLIS -- The last of 12 jurors and two alternates were seated Wednesday for the sexual misconduct trial of former Minnesota Twins star Kirby Puckett. Seven people were chosen Wednesday in addition to the seven selected Tuesday. Both sides questioned 30 people from the jury pool before the final person was selected for the jury that will hear the case. Opening statements were expected to begin Thursday morning, said Ross Corson, a spokesman for the Hennepin County Attorney's Office. The jurors and alternates include seven men and seven women. Ten are white, two are black and two are Asian-Americans. Puckett is accused of dragging a woman into a restaurant men's room and groping her last September. He's charged with false imprisonment, a felony; fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct, a gross misdemeanor; and fifth-degree assault, a misdemeanor. If the jury finds Puckett guilty on all charges, prosecutors have said, they will seek probation, fines, community service and no more than a year in jail.
