Two hours until deadline time ...

WHO TEAMS THE SCOOP

Dmitri Young
Dmitri Young
Twins
Indians
July 31: With Matt Lawton gone, the Twins have a big hole in right field, and the Reds have been in serious discussion over Dmitri Young. Another interested party is Cleveland. Ownership is reportedly a little ticked off after the Twins picked up Rick Reed and is pressing management to make a deal. With that in my mind, Young and Shannon Stewart have entered Cleveland's rumor mill.

WHO TEAMS THE SCOOP
Al Leiter
Al Leiter
Dodgers
July 31: A late rumor popping up just hours before the deadline: Leiter to the Dodgers in a potential blockbuster of some sorts. Another rumor for the wheelin' and dealin' Mets: Leiter and Robin Ventura to the Rockies in a deal involving Pedro Astacio and Jeff Cirillo.

WHO TEAMS THE SCOOP
Rey Sanchez
Rey Sanchez
Dodgers
Braves

July 31: The Royals are finding the market for Rey Sanchez isn't exactly full of excited bidders. The Dodgers and Braves continue to show some interest, but the Dodgers want some money in return (Sanchez is in final year of two-year, $4.5 million contract) and the Braves aren't about to part with Jason Marquis or Odalis Perez. The Braves may also be interested in Baltimore's Jeff Conine.

WHO TEAMS THE SCOOP
Shannon Stewart
Shannon Stewart
Rockies
Twins
Indians
Mariners
Yankees
Cubs
July 31: The Rockies and Jays continue to talk about Stewart/Astacio. Cleveland is a late bidder, with names like Russell Branyan and Tim Drew popping into the mix. A late rumor: Stewart to the Twins, who desperately need an outfielder with the trade of Matt Lawton.

WHO TEAMS THE SCOOP
Ugueth Urbina
Ugueth Urbina
Red Sox
July 30: The Cubs were hot after Urbina, before instead acquiring David Weathers from the Brewers. The Red Sox may still be interested in bullpen help, although with Frank Castillo set to return this week, Tim Wakefield or Rolando Arrojo will move back to the pen.

WHO TEAMS THE SCOOP
Juan Encarnacion
Juan Encarnacion
Mariners

July 28: Still looking for a right-handed bat, the Mariners have again turned their attention to the Tigers' Encarnacion. Detroit is thought to want Joel Pineiro in return.
