KISSIMMEE, Fla. (AP) _ Paul Bako hit a two-run single and Mike Robertson added a two-run double off Ismael Villegas in the 10th inning Monday night as the Houston Astros beat Atlanta 8-4, the Braves' eight loss in nine games.

Chipper Jones hit a two-run homer in the eighth inning to give Atlanta a 4-2 lead, but Houston's Mitch Meluskey, battling for the backup catcher's spot with Bako, hit his first homer of the spring in the ninth, a two-run pinch hit shot off Kevin McGlinchy.

The switch-hitting Jones followed a hit by Reggie Sanders with his third homer of the spring, a drive over the left field fence batting left-handed off Doug Henry. Jones, who also had a single and scored twice.

Astros starter Chris Holt pitched six scoreless innings before giving up two runs in the seventh on a run-scoring single by Andres Galarraga _ his team-high 11th RBI _ and an RBI groundout by Andruw Jones.

Holt has given up only four earned runs this spring in 29 innings, a 1.24 ERA.

Terry Mulholland, replacing John Smoltz in the rotation after the right-hander underwent elbow surgery earlier this month, had his best outing of the spring. The left-hander allowed two runs and seven hits in six innings, walked one and struck out six _ all looking. He lowered his ERA from 10.29 to 8.10.

Notes: Chipper Jones got married Sunday night to Sharon Logonov in a ceremony at his hometown of Pierson, Fla. He said about 15 people _ all immediate family members _ were invited. ... Reliever Greg McMichael, who played with the Braves from 1993-93, arrived Monday after agreeing to a minor league contract on Sunday following his release by the Chicago Cubs. ``I might throw in a game tomorrow. I know they want to get me in a couple of times to evaluate me,'' said McMichael, who pitched 7 1-3 innings this spring with the Cubs with a 3.68 ERA. ... The Astros will head home to Houston on Wednesday morning and go straight to their new ballpark, Enron Field. The team is leaving early to tour the park and get acclimated to the new surroundings prior to its first game there against the New York Yankee on Thursday.
