LAKELAND, Fla. (AP) _ Tony Clark continued to break out of his slump with his first home run of the spring and struggling Brian Moehler pitched six strong innings Sunday as the Detroit Tigers beat the Atlanta Braves 7-3. Clark's two-run homer was one of three off Atlanta starter Tom Glavine, who allowed nine hits and seven runs in six innings. Juan Gonzalez hit a solo homer, his fifth, and Damion Easley went 3-for-3, including a solo homer. Clark, who went 2-for-36 earlier in the spring, has four hits in his last 12 at-bats to raise his average to .125 (6-for-48). He hit .280 with 31 homers last season. Moehler entered the game with a 11.32 ERA and had allowed 21 hits and 13 runs in 10 1-3 innings. He went six innings and gave up seven hits, one run, walked two and struck out five. The only run off Moehler was a solo home run by Keith Lockhart _ his second of the spring _ who also had a pair of doubles off the right-hander and went 3-for-4. The Braves have lost seven of eight. Notes: The Braves signed reliever Greg McMichael to a minor-league contract on Sunday. McMichael, a former Brave, was released earlier in the week by the Chicago Cubs. ... Rafael Furcal, 19, the Braves shortstop of the future, went 3-for-5 and stole his fifth base in eight attempts this spring. Furcal, who had 96 steals last season in the minors, is slated for Double-A Greenville. ... Hideo Nomo will be the Tigers starting pitcher in the season-opener at Oakland on April 3. Moehler will pitch the third game of the season. When the club returns from a 10-day road trip, he will start in the first-ever game at Detroit's new Comerica Park on April 10.
