BOX SCORE
VIERA, Fla. (AP) _ Brad Penny, fighting for the No. 5 spot in Florida's rotation, allowed one hit in four scoreless innings as the Marlins beat the Detroit Tigers 10-5 on Sunday. The right-hander, who was acquired from the Arizona Diamondbacks in the Matt Mantei trade last July, has allowed only three hits and has not given up a run in nine innings this spring. ``There's nothing about him that I don't like,'' Florida manager John Boles said. ``What's really been a pleasant surprise is the great curveball he's had. We knew he had a great fastball.'' Kevin Millar, in a battle with Brant Brown and Derrek Lee for the first base job, knocked in three runs with a homer and single. Millar leads the Marlins with three homers and eight RBIs this spring. Brown, Sandy Martinez and Julio Ramirez also homered for Florida. Rob Sasser and Damion Easley homered for the Tigers off Florida's Brian Edmundson.
